Bottom slitter bands are produced from Tungsten Carbide giving considerably increased properties of wear and toughness over conventional materials. Both the front face and the cutting angle on top slitters are subject to innovative grinding and polishing techniques to achieve polished mirror finishes. These resultant super blades have the equivalent of razor blade sharpness. By polishing the secondary angles, backside cuts are as good as the front at the point of slit, even further reducing the incidence of dust.
Advice on training can be supplied for machine settings and slitter cutting geometry.This is to achieve the optimum conditions where it has been established that settings, and the surface finish and cutting geometry considerably affect the quality of cut, overall blade wear and operating life.
