Following the recent re-development work carried out at Burcas – both externally and with the internal construction of a Clean Room Grinding Cell – we are very proud to be awarded Rolls Royce PS 5104 approval by the Rolls Royce submarines division in Derby.
This approval contributes significantly towards the growth plans for the company culminating in several new opportunities and allowing us to develop our business within the Nuclear sector and market.
The Clean Room Cell has been developed around the newly acquired Gockel G80 grinding machine with a specification of grinding length up to 4000mm and a width of 450mm for flatbed grinding.
The Glockel G80 has the Marposs sizing unit controls for the the grinding process. It measures the work piece with high precision and constant dependability without interruption of operation sequence while the machine is running. It reverses the machine automatically from coarse to fine down feed and stops the grinding process when reaching the end measure. It also has an ethernet modem for remote diagnosis of software, electrics and drives.
